Youre Drinking Too Much Coffee When:
You ski uphill.
You speed walk in your sleep.
You answer the door before people knock.
You sleep with your eyes open.
You just completed your third sweater today, and you dont know how to knit.
You have to watch videos in fast-forward.
Your eyes stay open when you sneeze.
People get dizzy just watching you.
Blooming plants in February? You bet!
Well have blooming primroses and blooming cyclamen at the Garden Expo, too! What a perfect solution to chase away those winter blues! These lovely plants, in a rainbow of colors, would make a perfect Valentines Day gift. Well also have a nice variety of succulents, including aloe vera, and houseplants for you to choose from.
What did the big flower say to the small flower?
What’s up, bud?
We have seeds…lots and lots of seeds!
Its never too early to start planning for this seasons garden. If you are planning a vegetable, herb or flower garden get that seed list ready and bring it out to the Garden Expo next weekend. Well have a huge selection of Livingston seeds for you to choose from.
If you cant make it to the Garden Expo just stop in at our Cottage Grove or Edgerton location, either before or after the Garden Expo, for seeds and other gardening needs.
A young woman was taking an afternoon nap. After she woke up, she told her husband, "I just dreamed that you gave me a pearl necklace for Valentine’s day. What do you think it means?"
"You’ll know tonight." he said.
That evening, the man came home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, she opened it–only to find a book entitled "The meaning of dreams".
Classic Brand Bird Feeders
Classic Brand bird feeders are made by people who are passionate about birds. Their goal is to develop quality bird products that will bring more birds and more joy into your yard.
People like these bird feeders because they are easy to fill and easy to clean. Birds like them because its easy for them to get the food and the larger perches make it much more comfortable for them. How do we know that? Lets just say a little birdie told us!
More for the birds!
You can make it a happy, hardy, and healthy season for our feathered friends. We have gift boxed hanging Birdie Wreaths, from Pine Tree Farms. This featured wreath will serve up a feast of black oil sunflower, peanuts, colored safflower, and red millet. Other varieties of wreaths as well as bird seed bells are also available. Stop in and stock up your bird pantry for the winter.
What a great gift for the bird watcher in your life!

A: Give me a little hug and a hiss, honey.
Americas Best Flowers Fundraising Program
Spring 2015 is right around the corner! People are beginning to think about vegetable gardens, shade trees, flowering shrubs and glorious flowers.
What perfect timing for your non-profit organization to participate in Americas Best Flowers fundraiser program. Non-profit organizations earn 25% of the proceeds from each gift card they sell. For example, if your organization sells $500 of our gift cards, which are available in any denomination over $10, your organization would earn $125.
Please contact us if your non-profit organization is in need of funds for things such as (but by no means limited to):
- local charities, (i.e. food pantry)
- church mission trips,
- new equipment or uniforms for your school sports program, or
- new equipment or uniforms for your school band or orchestra.
Americas Best Flowers gift cards are valid at both our Cottage Grove and Edgerton locations.
If you are interested or have questions regarding our easy and profitable program, please contact Shirley at email@example.com.
Grandpa John was celebrating his 100th birthday and everybody complimented him on how athletic and well-preserved he appeared. "Gentlemen, I will tell you the secret of my success," he cackled. "I have been in the open air day after day for some 75 years now."
The celebrants were impressed and asked how he managed to keep up his rigorous fitness regime.
"Well, you see my wife and I were married 75 years ago. On our wedding night, we made a solemn pledge. Whenever we had a fight, the one who was proved wrong would go outside and take a walk."

How romantic easy listening music, candlelight, and a quiet dinner for two, starting with fondue, of course! What a wonderful way to bring back the days of slowly feeding each other tasty tidbits while enjoying the scintillating conversation of young love. OR, share the fun with the whole family. Whatever works for you, I declare it time to dig out the fondue pot and dip into the creamy goodness only fondue brings.
I found the following recipe online, where there are hundreds to choose from, both cheese and chocolate. I invite you to browse for a while and pick the one that sounds the best to you.
No fondue pot? Slowly heat ingredients in a heavy pan on low. Pour into a small crockpot to serve.
If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, just substitute apple cider for the beer.
Melting Pot Swiss Cheddar Fondue
- 12 oz beer
- 8 oz swiss cheese, shredded
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ¼ c flour
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 2 garlic gloves, minced
- ¼ t mustard powder and black pepper, or to taste
Sprinkle cheese over flour in a mixing bowl. Toss to coat.
Heat the beer in a fondue pot until steaming.
Add Worcestershire, garlic, mustard and pepper, mix well.
Add cheese and flour mixture and stir until melted.
To serve, spear chunks of bread, vegetables and fruit on the cute little forks that come with your pot, or use forks from your silverware drawer, and dip in sauce.
