[Special Letter about Veggies]

Carol and I have a long history of vegetable production and I also grew greenhouse tomatoes for two years. We are all very concerned about safety in food and the advantages of local food production.
Please be so kind and respond to this newsletter with an e-mail, or a visit and some conversation, or even a letter to let us know what you are thinking.
1. Besides growing flowers, would you like us to grow fresh vegetables year-round at our greenhouse, especially lettuce, spinach, and sunflower sprouts. We may also grow tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash, cucumbers and perhaps other crops in the greenhouse on a seasonal basis. We also are thinking about growing some herbs year-round and perhaps fish.
2. What do you think about a CSA (community supported agriculture) as part of our flower business. Would you be interested in coming to our greenhouse weekly to purchase vegetables and/or flowers and perhaps fish?
3. Would you come weekly to purchase your vegetables if we had a farmers market in the parking lot and one that moved inside the greenhouse during the winter?
We have the knowledge, skills, and facility to start any or all of the above in the greenhouse, but we need a market and that is the purpose of our questions.
