In gardening the possibilities truly are endless. With over a thousand choices for annuals alone here at ABF, the number of combinations is mind-boggling. But it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. The perfect time to explore possibilities is this weekend. Saturday and Sunday, May 22 and 23, from 10 to 4 we will have our final Spring Container Workshop. These workshops are designed to help you design your own unique planters. We offer FREE soil and assistance, and we clean up the mess.

So “contain” yourself, take advantage of this final workshop to finish planting your pots. Bring your own, or choose one from our beautiful selection of containers and self-watering pots. Select a variety of plants from our large inventory of annuals, perennials and small shrubs. Add an ornamental grass, canna or red cordyline for height and Viola! you’ll take home a container that will dazzle your neighbors.

When you come out to plant your containers, be sure to attend our vegetable gardening workshop, Veggie Gardening, Tomatoes and More! at 1:00 on Sunday, May 23. Nothing tastes better than vegetables picked fresh from your own garden. Brian Emerson, a UW Extension Horticulturalist, will be here to show you how to get the most out of your vegetable garden. He will share tips that will not only save time, but insure your success. Right after the FREE class, he will have a question and answer period for specific issues.
