For three years we have tried to get the flowering crabapple ? Purple Prince. This year we have it. Known for its outstanding rose-red flowers and purple bronze foliage, this fast-growing crab also has excellent disease resistance and sturdy stems.
Another new tree for us this year is the flowering Pear ? Chanticleer. It has beautiful cream-white flowers in the spring, glossy green leaves in the summer, beautiful red color in the fall, and a lovely symmetrical shape, which adds structure to your winter garden. Reaching a mature height of 25 to 35 feet, this is a beautiful specimen tree. Not fussy about soil type or moisture this is an excellent easy-to-grow choice for your sunny landscape.
