Generally, mid-April is a good time to plant cool weather plants such as radish, lettuce, carrots, spinach, beets, peas, onion and potatoes.  Cole crops such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and kohlrabi can be planted now, too, provided you don’t have a lake where your garden is supposed to be.

It is also a good time to do indoor seed planting for warm weather crops, like tomatoes.  Yum! We have potting soil, seed trays and a large selection of seeds to get you started.  Seeds planted in the next two weeks will be ready to put in the ground by the end of May, provided that lake has dried up.

Are there young children in the house? Make this a fun and educational project for the entire family.  See the look of amazement on their little faces when that first sprig of green appears.
