Happy Thanksgiving

Another year will soon be behind us and all of us at America's Best Flowers would like to thank you.

Do you remember how you felt the very first time you visited us?  You turned into our driveway, not knowing quite what to expect, then once you passed the big red shed you gasped.  Right at that moment you knew this was not just any ordinary greenhouse.  And that was just the beginning.  Each and every one of our greenhouses held a bit of magic.  The senses went into overdrive from the visual impact and the aromatic mingling of scents. 

This is what the staff at America's Best Flowers gets to experience each and every day.  We come to work with a smile and leave with a smile (and a bit of potting soil under our fingernails.)  Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work in this wonderful environment.

Although America’s Best Flowers is closed for the season, someone is here every day.  So if you need anything during your final winter preparations, please call us at 222-2269.  If we don’t answer, just leave a message and we’ll call you back to arrange a time to meet you here.  We have a good supply of soils, mulches, fertilizers, pottery and straw bales.

We hope everyone who attended our Porch Pot and Wreath Workshop on Saturday had a fun time.  We know we did!  The consensus of everyone we spoke with is that it should become an annual event.  If you agree, or have suggestions on how we could make it better next year, please let us know.  Email ed@americasbestflowers.com  The creativity of the many containers and wreaths that were made was amazing.  While we oohed and aahed at each one, we failed to take enough pictures.  We would love it if you would send us pictures of your creation on your front steps or porch.

Have you heard about America's Best Flowers’ Fundraising Program?  Do any of your school sports programs need new equipment or uniforms?  What about your school or church music programs?  We offer non-profit organizations the opportunity to keep 25% of the proceeds from the sale of our gift cards.  For example, if your organization sold $500 of our gift cards, which are available in any denomination, your organization would have raised $125.  It’s easy, it’s fun, it’s profitable, and we would be happy to come speak to your group and/or send you information.  If you are interested or have questions, please contact Shirley Cimino at abfscimino@yahoo.com. 

Donations to the Humane Society always slow down during the holidays, often when the need is the greatest.  You can help ease some of this pain by purchasing a 2012 calendar.  Please go to their website giveshelter.org and take a look at their Pet Pin-Up 2012 calendar.  All proceeds go to the Dane County Humane Society.
