Bonus Recipes – Newsletter 14 – June 04, 2009 Italian Herb Bread Rosemary Caesar Bread Cheddar Cheese Herb Bread Taco Cheddar Bread HERB BREADS FOR BREAD MACHINES Italian Herb Bread 1¼ c water ¼ c skim milk powder 1 t salt 1 T granulated sugar 1 T shortening 3½ c bread flour ¼ c snipped fresh parsley* 1 T fresh basil or 1t dried 1T fresh marjoram or 1t dried 1T fresh thyme or 1t dried 1 t bread machine yeast Measure ingredients into baking pan in the order
recommended by the manufacturer. Insert pan into the oven chamber.
Select basic cycle. Makes 1 ½ lb. loaf. Use leftovers for wonderful
croutons. *Flat
leaf parsley, also known as Italian parsley, has more flavor than the
curly. Curly leaf parsley

Make
sure the vegetable juice is at room temperature! 1 ¼ c tomato vegetable juice 1T sugar 1T olive oil 3 ½ c bread flour 1/3 c snipped sun-dried tomatoes, dried, not packed in oil* ¼ c snipped fresh rosemary ¼ t paprika 1¼ t bread machine yeast Measure
ingredients into baking pan in the order recommended by the
manufacturer. Insert pan
into the oven chamber. Select Basic cycle.
Makes a 1½ pound loaf. *Hydrate
tomatoes by pouring boiling water over them and let them sit 10 minutes.

is a really easy bread to make with LOTS of flavor. There are already
herbs in the bread machine package, but I’ve found adding extra
enhances the taste. 1 pkg Hodgson Mills European Herb Bread Mix 1 t each dried oregano and rosemary Taco-Cheddar Bread Makes
one 1½ pound loaf 1 cup plus 2T water 3 cups bread flour ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 T dry taco seasoning mix 1 T sugar ¾ t salt Select
basic/white cycle using a medium or light cycle. Do not use delay cycle. Cool on wire rack. HERB DIPPING OIL ½ cup extra virgin olive oil 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic 1 tablespoon each fresh herbs: basil,
oregano, rosemary, and thyme Dash red pepper flakes, optional Add more, or less, of any herb, to taste. Wonderful
paired with balsamic vinegar Pour olive oil into small saucepan.
Add garlic and herbs. Cook over low heat until garlic is golden.
Pour into shallow bowl and surround with French, whole grain or Italian
bread. Store leftovers in frig and use within a few days.
